On May 20, 2026, the official meeting of the GS1 GENERAL ASSEMBLY was held in Warsaw, dedicated to the theme “Vision in Action: Leadership That Builds the Future.” Representatives from 120 GS1 national Member Organizations from around the world participated in the event.

Following the official meeting, a festive anniversary ceremony was held to honor the contributions of the GS1 MOs. Among those honored was GS1 Bulgaria, which received a plaque marking the 35th anniversary of its founding. The award was accepted by Tsvetan Simeonov, Chairman of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Board and Chairman of GS1 Bulgaria, and Tsvetana Bratanova, CEO of GS1 Bulgaria. The award was presented by Renaud de Barbuat, President and CEO of GS1 AISBL, and Mark Batenic, Chairman of IGA Inc. and Chair of the GS1 Management Board.
