GS1 Bulgaria & atrify join forces
atrify is thrilled to announce the new partnership with GS1 Bulgaria. The Bulgarian community in particular will benefit from this partnership and the collaborative solution offering for effective product content management.
To help the Bulgarian community face the increasingly complex data demands from consumers, trading partners, and regulators, GS1 Bulgaria will provide product information solutions and related services to the Bulgarian market based on atrify´s technology. GS1 Bulgaria chose atrify as the platform for product content and a leading data pool provider certified by the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN). The new setup will enable Bulgarian suppliers and retailers to manage, share, and synchronize product information efficiently and cost-effectively around the globe.
GS1 Bulgaria decided to leverage the GS1 Global Data Model that standardizes attributes required for product data exchange across the globe. The GS1 Global Data Model combined with the intuitive and user-friendly web applications from atrify allows the Bulgarian community to start managing their product information immediately without any time-consuming implementations.
Both suppliers and retailers are excited about the new solution, which allows them to increase their international sales potential significantly and provides retailers as well as consumers with correct and consistent product information – everywhere and anytime.
Jochen Moll, atrify’s CEO, stated, “I am very pleased that GS1 Bulgaria has decided to build a data pool with atrify. Bulgaria is an important market for many German retailers and suppliers. With a competent contact person on site, the data exchange will be easier and more effective for them.”
“With atrify as our partner – a company that has been recognized for over two decades as a trustworthy technology and advisory partner to GS1 Member Organizations from all over the world – we are sure that the solution will be specific to our needs and help us achieve our goal of standardized product content exchange.” said Tsvetan Simeonov, Chair of GS1 Bulgaria. “We are also evaluating the eventual integration of the mobile application, BG Barcode. By scanning a barcode, this app confirms if it was legitimately issued by GS1 Bulgaria and gets information about the manufacturer or distributor of the product. This could be a second step for our community.”
atrify and GS1 Bulgaria strongly believe that now is the right time to set up a GDSN data pool in Bulgaria. Thirty years after the beginning of the implementation of the standard GS1 barcode in Bulgaria, the development of a GDSN data pool is an important next step in consolidating GS1 standards in the country and adapting them for the rest of the global GS1 community. Bulgarian retailers, who have been pushing for the GDSN adoption, will experience the benefits of the streamlined solution for their ever-increasing, diverse data needs.
